Ira Russell Crowe (born April 7 1964) is a New Zealand and Australian actor. His career began in the early 1990s with roles in Australian TV series such as Police Rescue and films such as Romper Stomper. In the late 1990s, he began appearing in American films such as the 1997 film LA Confidential. In 2000 he was nominated for three Oscars, and in 2001 he received an Academy Award as best actor for his role in the film Gladiator
Russell Crowe Biography
After initial success in Australia, Crowe began in American films. He was one of the first starring with Denzel Washington in Virtuosity in 1995. It is three times Oscar nominee, winning the Oscar for best actor in 2001 for Gladiator. Crowe wore his grandfather Stan Wemyss in the Member States of the Order of the British Empire medal to the ceremony. Crowe received three Oscar nominations for Best Actor for the insider, Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind. Russell Crowe won best actor in A Beautiful Mind in 2002 at the awards ceremony BAFTA. But he was unable to win the Oscar this year, the loss of Denzel Washington. It was suggested that the attack on television producer Malcolm Gerrie to cut short his speech can be turned voters against him.
