Michael Jordan

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York, but his family decided to move to Wilmington, North Carolina, where he was a child. Jordan is the fourth of five children, two older brothers and one older sister and younger. Michael's father worked on electrical installations, while his mother worked full time to the bank. Jordan's parents worked for him and his brothers and sisters, with a comfortable lifestyle.

As a child, Jordan played baseball, basketball and soccer. His favorite sport at the time was baseball but after he began to spend much time on the basketball court, changed his outlook. As his older brother, and more, Larry, continuously kept beating him when they played one after the other, he is determined to become the best player.

Ironically, in 1978, when Jordan attended Laney high school in Wilmington, North Carolina, he was cut off from the university team. Instead of refusing, but he fought adversity and become the greatest basketball players in the world.

Between 10 th and 11 th years, Jordan has increased from 5'11 "to 6'3", but also because it has significantly improved as a player, he made a team of university next year. Jordan played in his junior season, he was invited to participate in a comfortable camp in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, during the summer before his final year.

At that time, Jordan finishing his senior years, Laney, he grew to 6'5 "and a scholarship in basketball at the University of North Carolina. Jordan's growing popularity began to UNC, where he made a last minute game winning shot in the tournament NCAA.

In summer 1984, Jordan played in the United States men's Olympic basketball team under head coach Bobby Knight. College Team players such as Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin (NBA players can not compete in the Games until 1992). Jordan played a quick impression on other teams.

He scored 14 points against China, Canada, 20 against and 16 against Uruguay. In the United States has won eight of those games by an average of 32.1 points per game. Jordan led the team in scoring average at 17.1 points per game. Two months after the Olympics, Jordan played his first regular season game with the Chicago bulls.

Jordan immediately proved he belonged in the big leagues and his acrobatic moves and hang-time earned his famous nickname Air Jordan. His skills and pace of basketball made him an ideal key products on the market Nike and the NBA.

Jordan led the bulls, three World Championships (1991, 1992 and 1993). Jordan retired from the NBA before the 1993-94 season, after the mysterious death of his father and after rumors of his gaming addiction began to circulate.

После шоу он стал лучшим баскетболистом в мире, Иордания стремится новый вызов, и решил попробовать свои силы в профессиональный бейсбол. He played outfielder in the Birmingham Barons, affiliates of Chicago White Sox. Jordan quickly realized he was not cut out for the baseball after a season of disappointment.

In 1995, Jordan made a surprise return to basketball right before the decisive, but, unfortunately, the bulls do not win championships. In 1996, Jordan led the bulls to their best regular season record and fourth championship title in six years. He also took a shot on the screen, where he played with Bugs Bunny in the animated comedy Space Jam.

Jordan decided to retire after his last championship victory in 1999, mainly because of his decision to devote his life to his wife, Juanita, and their three children, Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine.

After partial return to the game as president of basketball with the Washington Wizards (he owned a stake in the team), Jordan announced his return to the NBA, this time as an assistant. Jordan can be, but in 2002 he suffered a knee injury that kept him for the remainder of the season, and felt happiness in marriage storm, when his wife Juanita announced her desire to seek a divorce (the pair were still married).
