Oscar De La Hoya

Oscar De La Hoya was a typical child from East LA who went to school and hangs with his friends. Several times, however, he returned to the water supply when the bullies, who threatened him. He hides in his room, or else his father would find out. His father - Joel De La Hoya, a former pro boxer - never made much in the situation until it is repeated several times.

There was some concern about the problems with Oscar and his struggle with the technology. The best solution is to make the move to the boxing gym as his father was forced to do when he was young and his father, who is also the experience of amateur boxing in 1930.

Oscar, the first experience with boxing gloves was at 5 years old when his younger brother Joel put gloves on him and a couple of his cousin in the sparring session. After the fighting broke out, Oscar, covered her face in fear, and his cousin had landed on the left KLA nose. Accordingly, Oscar began to cry and at home, similar to his previous experience with more than a recipe for bullies.

The "Golden Boy" of boxing, was born February 4th, 1973 in East Los Angeles, California. He was one of the best American amateur boxer in the late 80's and early 90's, until he asked for right after winning the gold medal at the Olympic Games 1992 in Barcelona, Spain. The following November, he fought Lamar Williams and won the match with a first round KO.

At 5'11 with an impressive 72-inch reach, it is now one of the most respected boxers, with great appeal to a broad audience of sports fans. His good reputation in the ring arises from the fact that he "learned long ago to live in fear under the control of fear. Being relaxed, anticipating attacks, translates into fear under control." He understands that he is still young and he still has a long way to go, where he learns something new every time he performs the daily training. "Always room for improvement, regardless of how long you have been in business."

Remove all the glory and charm of a pretty boy of boxing, he still enjoys the time spent at home with his family. His entire family is very proud of the career of Oscar, while his younger brother Joel said that "Oscar hated physical clashes." Part of the appellant Oscar was boxing at the time his father took him to play, and said: "How many times have I told you not to play baseball, I do not want to hurt you. You can get killed here. Go to the gym and learn to defend themselves. This is what to do. " From this moment, it is clear that boxing is a tradition in the family, and will also be included.

"The motivation for my development as a boxer has been in my family." Another reason is that his family will make a little money every time he wins in boxing during his mid-teens. They give him some loose change, and even the little money from time to time. He has come a long way since, as he now receives 7 figure salaries for a fight, mainly because of its enormous power of fans. He became an icon of sport with a large force of promotion can be found on promotional items such as t-shirts, boxing gloves, and even the skin.

De La Hoya made his press conference in Spain, his native language. His love for his roots and background to him the essence of God among his people. He won his first world title in 1994 against Jimmi Bredahl.

In 1995, he defeated Rafael Ruela, then defeated Genaro Hernandez and Jesse James Leija. In June 1996, he was clearly dominated by the time idol Julio Cesar Chavez in the fourth round TKO. His victory in 1997, the previously undefeated Miguel Gonzalez, won his WBC lightweight title. Pernell Whitaker was his next victim in the ring with a close decision on the field.

With incredible record as a boxer, he seems to follow the example of other boxing legends like Sugar Ray Leonard, one called "Golden Boy".
